Quince is an antique fruit that gets rosy pink when cooked for a long time and the caramelized sugars in this butter mixed with the tart apple cider vinegar gives the perfect punch (also there is no butter in fruit butters but they get the name from how thick and spreadable they are)

The pluots are from a farm in the Central Valley called Blossoms Bluff and they are a third generation stone fruit farm

We had an abundance of fresh quince and she thought that cooking them down into a butter would be a real treat! I am so glad she thought of it. The sugars get nice and carmel y in a slow bake in the oven. WHAT A TREAT!! Wonderful on a cheese board and sure to delight your senses. Beautiful.
