We have always had a great fondness for this lovely little Margaux but it's not really since 2008 that we have really fallen in love with it
The palate has a large structure for this First Growth
Sourced from the prestigious Grand Cru village of Mailly
Easy to see a relationship with the beautiful 2006 served after this
and the finish shows a touch of tannin to maintain structure
2004 Les Forts de Latour, Pauillac, Bordeaux Size:75cl We have always had aLatours second wine, the 2004 Les Forts de Latour, is a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Merlot that represents 41% of the production. Medium to full bodied with good density, it is the finest second wine I tasted. It exhibits a dark ruby purple color, plenty of black currant and cherry fruit, and fine length. It should drink well for 15 years. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
