2013 BK Wines "Skin 'n Bones" Pinot Noir Adelaide Hills South Australia Spices and treacle tart asThe name of the wine references skin contact, in this case, 100 days on the skins, although tasted blind, the wine doesnt seem extremist. I described it in my notes as gentle, leafy and autumnal, which appears to be Brendon Keys intention: His website describes how long skin contact gives the wine an autumnal, maple leaf landscape. Rather than going funky or rustic, its taken on the perfume of a fat porcini, the finish spicy and elegant.
