Left Field Albarino grape-variety-zinfandel Beautiful with fish and freshA favourite wine of winemaker Richard Painter, this Albarino ripens well under the sun of the Gisbourne region. Grapes are hand harvested and whole bunch pressed prior to fermentation; 90% as clear juice in stainless steel and 10% with indiginous yeast in oak puncheons. Citrus flowers, melon and peach on the nose, rich stone fruit and lime on the palate. Beautiful with fish and fresh salads.
