I wanted to carve a piece bringing awareness to living in areas that are populated by brown bears. I was given this piece of wood from Glacier Bay Alaska. It is Broad Leaf Willow and had some deformities in it. I wanted to include those in the design. That was when I was inspired to carve this mask.
